Lazaretto Cemetery

Image
Near the point is the  Lazeretto  cemetery.  Here are many of the people who built our town are buried. And what a beautiful resting place it must have been before it was enclosed  on all sides by apartments and houses. Unfortunately, their final resting place not treated with much respect.  Many graves's crosses were broken.  There are also many bushes and litter. I will share more photos of the cemetery over the next month.

Seal Island trip #1

Image
On Friday 19 December 2014 we went on a trip around Seal Island with Seven Seas .  This was my first trip around Seal Island in the my 11 years of living in Mossel Bay. Is was a lovely sunny day and the sea was calm and I enjoyed the trip.   The Seven Seas is a 60 foot, motorized luxury catamaran and you can buy refreshments and snacks on board. We were to busy enjoying the view to go inside for a drink. I will definitive it again and can recommend it.  We bought our tickets at the office near the harbour for R100 per person.
